A competitor might be mentioned in comparison articles, directories, review platforms, YouTube videos, local listings, case studies, news articles or even Instagram or Facebook accounts/pages. They may answer more of the query fan-out

When a user asks for a recommendation, the AI system may effectively look at several angles: best providers, pricing, reviews, location, experience, alternatives and specific use cases. Your site may not be clear enough yet

Sometimes the issue is simpler: your website does not explain your services in enough detail, has weak internal linking, lacks proof, does not answer buying questions or intent and is not connected to enough external trust signals.
